Four different types of membership

DOCCSA Ministries issues four types of ministerial credentials. The type of credential issued is based upon the description of the candidate’s ministry experience and/or education.

Credentials are valid for a period of 12 months after which time members must renew their credentials:

Marriage Officer

Currently, in South Africa, we designate registered members of DOCCSA Ministries in SA as marriage officers through the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa.

In order to become a marriage officer with DOCCSA Ministries in SA a person would need to meet the following requirements:

Be a registered member of DOCCSA Ministries in SA
be an ordained minister of the gospel (ordination certificate)
be a South African Citizen or a foreign national who has been granted permanent residency in South Africa.
Leading a congregation or church which necessitates being designated as a marriage officer.

Being able to issue a marriage license means that you would be able to solemnise marriages within South Africa and that you would also be a commissioner of oaths.

How to request being designated a marriage officer through DOCCSA MINISTRIES IN SA

First and foremost, you need to be a member of DOCCSA Ministries in SA
Meet all the requirements, as stated above
Send an email to us requesting your designation as a marriage officer. Once you are a member can you request to be designated.

Being a designated marriage officer under DOCCSA Ministries means that you will have the authority to legally marry two people to one another, and the state will recognise your solemnisation of the marriage as it will be registered by you as a marriage officer with the Department of Home Affairs.

Affiliate

For anyone who has a definable full or part-time ministry such as the pastor of a local church, apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher, Christian counselor, Christian educator, marketplace ministry, etc. Membership in the network is for those who are already ordained through other organizations or ministries but would like to be a part of what DOCCSA Ministries stands for and is doing. They will be able to participate as full members and network with other like-minded Christians, provided they have a proven ministry for a minimum of five years.

Individual

This category of membership is for those who have a clear calling to ministry and wish to be ordained by DOCCSA Candidates must be possession of a minimum of a 120- credit Diploma in a ministry discipline or equivalent. Candidates who have a proven ministry for a minimum period of five years will also be considered.Retired pastors wellcome to join.

Associate

This category of membership is for those people who are currently serving within a ministry that is in the process of training Bible Schools principals. This registration category is ideal for pastors who already have students who attend their Bible Colleges and who would like to have accountability for their Pastors in Training from the start of their training up until their ordination and commission.We encourage all MZU School of Theology students and graduates to become a member of DOCCSAt Ministries. We also welcome those who are currently enrolled at other Bible Colleges and Universities to become part of DOCCSA Ministries as this credentialing will bring accountability and integrity to their callings as they progress.

Partnership

This category of membership is for those people who God has called to be Kings in the kingdom. Many times our focus is so on formal ministry, we forget that God has called many to be Kings in the Kingdom.

This category of registration is for both NETWORKS OF CHURCHES WITH A SIMILAR VISION AS DOCCSA to be registered with DOCCSA We want to make an IMPACT in the business world, and together networking the businesses of the Kingdom of God we can. We will also connect business people of like mindedness to assist one another in both business acumen and prayer.
